I've seen - US News and World report, People, Time, Psy Today, The Therapist, Whole Earth, Highlights,Sunset and a few more. But there at least 5 therapists whose use the waiting room. There are crayons and paper to draw on in there too.
I don't read anything. I sit like a school girl, knees together, feet flat on the floor in a single chair (not the couch) imagining myself in the paintings. I try not to worry but whenever I see someone I don't know in there with me, I'm sure he is coming to get them, that I've screwed up the time and I'll be mortified in the next 30 seconds because I'm not supposed to be there. Sometimes in my head when yhere are lots of people in there I find myself saying over and over again, "please come and get me out of here. Please come and rescue me now." I find the wait stressful.
