Paranoid Schizophrenia?

Posted by scribble'ntweak on May 3, 2005, at 23:36:22

I have been diagnosed Paranoid Schizophrenic. To me that seems a bit drastic. Just because I have communicated with spirits, seen gnomes, had contact with aliens, and keep my doors locked all the time with window shades drawn only enough to keep close watch at cars passing by to make sure they don't stop and come into my house doesn't mean I need to take my medication, does it? I have been taking Abilify and klonopin and celexa. I do notice that whwn I don't take my meds I am a little more into the paranormal, but couldn't that be because the meds are just mind numbing? I mean do I sound crazy to you readers? I don't feel crazy. What should I do? Take meds or not? I have also wondered if aliens had a hand in developing this abilify so I wouldn't mind them as much. I am also very nervous about developing TD from the Abilify. Are there other people out there who are paranoid schizophrenic who don't feel crazy? Other than some of my seemingly wacky experiences, I have lead a very normal life, and only lost touch with reality a couple of times. Please someone tell me your thoughts or experiences.
