Not silly. Perfectly understandable. » frida

I feel the same way all the time, and exasperate my therapist with my fears.

I once told him that my husband had promised to outlive me, and looked at him expectantly. He laughed and said he'd do his very best.

I found that when I quit fighting the fears and accepted fully that they were present and understandable and not shameful, their intensity lessened.

They still flare up when I read this board sometimes. :) But maybe that's good because it gives me a chance to process them rather than hide the fears under a rug.
