This was the greatest thing that you could have done for yourself - learning from TV shows. I also think it is extremely important to watch good movies, listen to nice inspirational songs, read poetry which inspires you and moulds you.

Lot of time it really substitutes lack of such role models in real life.

I wasn't brought up in the US, so I didn't watch any of these shows but the main things that inspired me are Sound of music (I like to keep that heroine in mind whenever I get dull), and Daniel Steel's Novels. I used to like Ayn Rand's novels a lot growing up, but since then, realized that she doesn't have too much of insight into emotions.

But nowadyas, I try to watch lot of Tom and Jerry cartoons, and any disney cartoons and that keeps my mind light. I like movies like City of Angels, John Q, Independance Day etc. I jsut went to Disney world also.. It was fun.
