www.therapyadvisor.com
My T. was randomly selected to evaluate it. Haven't asked him yet what his thoughts were. He was also asked to choose one client to ask if they'd evaluate it as a "mental health consumer." (That term seems so funny - is MH itself a consumable? Or are we perhaps consuming our providers? I know, it's the service we consume...just irritable about words tonight...grrr)
So he chose me for some reason. Said I was obviously computer savvy and that I, "had a clue about the mental health world." I chose to take that as a compliment ;-) He gave me a letter with a login and password and I reviewed and evaluated the site by doing a brief survey re: one disorder. I chose MDD.
Seems okay, though maybe too elementary for some folks who post here. But it's meant to explain disorders clearly and basically, and has a separate provider section, too. Don't know if we'll be "allowed" to access that area. Maybe someone has already seen it? Looks quite new to me.
No such thing as too much information, especially for those newly dx, and hungry for good information, more links, etc. They are operating under a grant from NIMH, so should be legit. FWIW.
