I figured you were being serious as the conversation progressed. Don't worry - I'm not poking fun.
Sometimes doctors miss things. That is true. And you do hear of cases where that has happened. Sometimes people even get diagnosed with somatoform disorders because the doctor can't find anything. Later - they the doctor realises they missed it, or a specialist picks it up. But other times it is a somatoform disorder.
So how do you know which it is?
That is a hard question...
I know that you aren't feeling very well, and I'm sorry about that. Whether the doctors can find anything or not it is still true either way that you aren't feeling very well.
> Patient is extrapolating his current rapid decline into the future .. death being the conclusion.
We will all die one day.
But whether that will come sooner than usual...
Well...
It is hard to know...I guess that is true of all of us in a way.
I could get hit by a bus tomorrow.
We all live with that risk. And I guess you just have to do the same...
All I can really say is that I think it may help if you could manage to muster some faith. Whether it is misplaced or not it can help get us through the time that we have. However long that turns out to be.
Maybe the doctors will find what is wrong
Or maybe they won't
Maybe you will die early
Or maybe you won't.But you don't want to waste the life you have by worrying about your demise if you can possibly help it.
I hope you will feel better soon.
I have faith you will.(((fires)))
