1. His gentle spirit and his obvious spiritual nature.
2. His staggering intellect. He is without a doubt the most intelligent person I know.
3. Intense, penetrating eyes that reflect whatever I am feeling.
4. His willingness to self-disclose and tell me about times he has felt like me and what he did about it.
5. How almost every time we talk on the phone, we'll hang up, and I'll get a call immediately back and he'll say, "I have one more thought . . ."
6. The way he thinks about me on his *own* time. He'll say, "I was thinking about something you said the other day . . ."
7. How he can immediately analyze a situation and pull it apart and make me see it in a way that I'd not considered.
8. His compliments that are backed up so concretely that I actually have to believe him. (I've never been able to accept praise.)
9. His "realness" and his willingness to show me his emotions.
10. He's the first person I've ever felt is on my side.
