We can learn something from almost every culture on earth. I am a christian too, but that doesn't mean that deep breathing exercises and meditation are wrong. Many eastern practices are so useful that they have been adopted by our cultures.

There are a lot of nuts out there that like to make loose tangential connections. God's not going to get mad at you for humming and breathing. Don't the birds humm and breath ??

It's really about where your mind is. You know that.
