The first time anyone refers to a book, movie, or music without using this option, I post this to try to make sure he or she at least knows about it. I think the biggest advantage is that people can personalize their posts with signatures. The signature is really good for a med board because you can include the drugs you are on, that way others can see what you are taking without asking or see your diagnosis without trying to remember.
