Oh Sabrina,
I wish I could help. That is a tough one. I don't know how ADHD affects people, and this is going to sound pretty minor in comparison, but I do know that my son often doesn't wear socks because they annoy him. He won't wear jackets and he won't layer clothes either. Even in the coldest weather, a jacket is "uncomfortable". And underwear has to be exactly perfect. Maybe take him to choose his own clothes when you shop for them? Make sure he chooses one type of each item (excluding the uniform, of course, I'm thinking t-shirts, socks and underwear mostly, and time-off clothing). I find that being extremely patient and kind and letting my son make the decisions after I explain why he has to make them, really works for us. If I show any impatience with him at all, the resistance is incredible. Good luck with your situation, I really feel for both of you. :)
