lexapro to prozac conversion tables??

Posted by Doug_saving_the_team on September 1, 2004, at 1:13:18

Hi,

I am presently on 150 mg wellbutrin xl, 10 mg Lexapro and 150 mg (or something like that) of Trileptal, all daily. I would like to know how prozac or other meds convert into lexapro. I am trying to see how reasonable it is for me to raise my lexapro to 15 mg or 20 mg in comparison to what I have taken in Prozac or Paxil.

I used to take 20, then 40, then 60 mg of Prozac. I am considering raising my Lex to 15 or 20 mg b/c of nagging anxiety which I suspect is in part due to the wellbutrin, though I love the newfound motivation and energy I have on wellbutrin, so I just want to try to manage the anxiety a bit better. but I am concerned Lexapro is so potent that going to 15 or 20 mg may be too much. If I had it my way, I would just lower the wellbutrin xl to 100 or 75 mg, but that is not possible because they do not make such pills.

Thank you in advance for any help! :)

Doug
