Absolutely.
my best friend in highschool (who dropped out middle of junior year) at 19 was dx with bipolar, we got along so well. Last fall i was dx with bipolar...coincidence?
i have two very close friends now, one suffers with fibromyalgia and anxiety (gad), my other friend deals with depression. and of course me with adhd, and bipolar2. None of us knew ths of eachother before we became friends. but we've all got our little 'pink' pills that we take.i agree 100% with what ghost and snapper had to say...i think we definately float towards people that can understand exactly what we are going through. Someone who has never had real depression just doesn't understand. i SI (cutting mostly) and it really helps me to talk with others that do. This is something that Many Do NOt understand (i stepping in others shoes i do see it from their side, it looks scary and weird and they just don't, can't understand what it does for us) and i think unless you do it, you don't quite grasp what it gives us. a sense of retying that knot where the thread we're hanging on by broke.
b2c.
