I did EMDR for a year and some months. I have a life full of trauma...From my very first breath till I was in my 30's. You name it, it happened to me.
When I started I had no idea that so much of my attention and energy was going toward being vigilant...night and day. I had a kind of physical hummmmm....nervous energy that had a sexual stimulation to it. It was exhausting for me and others. Someone said I was like a rush on espresso.
I was embarassed about that but....
I spent a lot of time in EMDR and that has changed me to my very vibration...I am calmer and more centered. I like my life now. I like myself too.
It's a very powerful treatment for the right problem. Incident related problems are perfect for this therapy. I have been in therapy since I was a little girl. My feet didn't even reach the floor in the big chair.
Too much therapy that wasn't even effective. So if you are like me....well there's hope.
