Don't worry about what other people have done. She'll get over it when you prove yourself.
Make a point of being visible either during lunch or when you stay late. Drop it into a sentence, "when I was here late the other evening, I ran into..." Or, if she is there late with you, go by her office and say, "I just want you to know how much I like this job. I'm learning tons and I really like (insert here)" This gives you the opportunity to again show her you are here and she gets some relaxed feedback from you. I know when people want to find me for stuff they often hang around because I'm known to work late. I appreciate the one-on-one time I can spend with them.
Just my thoughts.
