Now I wish I could remember where I read it. I've read several cases where people have developed mania from taking ADs. I'm not exactly sure how rare it is. I'm sure if you do a search on google you'll find some hits.
Also, are you saying that you are Bipolar and your Pdoc won't give you ADs? It is safe to take AD if you're dx with Bipolar Disorder if you are still depressed and also taking a mood stabilizer at the same time. SOMETIMES. Some people can do it, some can't. I could. I was taking Lithium, Lamictal, and Lexapro all at the same time. And it didn't make me manic at all. But (being the evil and buzz seeking person I am) dropped the mood stabilizers and opted to just take the Lexapro for a while. Let's just say, I've since learned my lesson.
I'll check google myself and see what hits I get... I'll let you know..
Never mind the second part.. I reread what you wrote and I understand... I think. You are saying that you think maybe ADs caused you to become manic? Let me know...
