It seems as if you've already bonded with the new therp- good for you! Your anger is probably displaced (which is fine as I'm sure the new therp understands- I did something very similar). I agree with fallsfall- skip a session with the old therp, and no you are not obligated to accept a letter of referral, part of me feels like he's assauging his guilt by saying you can't leave all the work behind that you've done with him. why not- and I'm sure you'll carry some of it with you no matter what. explain to the new therp how you were unable to work after a session, and I'm sure he'll space things out for you for a while. this is the high drama beginning, things will settle down soon. take care- judy
