My therapist and I have talked about sex. She just came straight out and asked me if I masterbate. I was embarassed, and probably turned beet red.
She acknowledged my embarassment, but said she needed to know if my low self-esteem, poor body image, etc. affected me sexually. (Actually they do, is she a psychictherapist?)
I think it's good that you told him right away you weren't comfortable with talking about it. If you feel brave, ask him why he wanted to know.
