I've been diagnosed BPD for 4 or 5 years now.. and it can be a hrd diagnoses to live with. But things ARE changing.
I'm part of a group (nearly charity, we're going through process at moment!!) that are heavily involved in raising awareness of BPD in the UK. We're starting to be well respected, and our work is going really really well.
Our website is
Our links page has tone of links connected to BPD.
Anyway.. loads of people have found DBT (Dialectical Behaviour therapy) to be a real life saver. Its hard to work to do, but really worth it it seems. I am on a waiting list for this.
I've had a year of CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and that has really really helped me with certain aspects of BPD. The anxiety side has been helped enormously, and its also taught me how to deal with the "crisis" whent hey hit. Its also helped my abandoment issues, and I htink I finally trust my husband!Good luck.. Never let ANYONE tell you BPD is untreatable. It is, and I have seen the proof many times over.
