Are docs in hospitals different than private docs?

I have been referred to a psychiatrist who's office is actually IN a mental hospital and this is the first time I'll be seeing one who works there. The others have all had private practices. Is there any difference? What should I expect?
I'm a little nervous about going into the hospital itself every week to see him.
