Hi noa,
thank you for this. I totally hear you. When I was talking about the weight, I was just explaining my feelings about it. You help here a lot and I thank you.
Since I posted this, I have been feeling pretty good, yay! Small goals of increasing exercise in very small increments, like walks with my puppy, and/or very small changes toward healthier eating is what I have been pretty much doing, and will continue:-)
Thanks for reminding me to think smaller, little, tiny goals, and one day at a time.
A few therpaists have told me that severeal times:-)
Thanks again noa, and thanks for caring.
Kristen

Krissy, I said the mood needs to be brought under control, I didn't say anything about the weight. I think taking on a 50 pound weight loss also sounds like a huge endeavor when you are having unstable mood.
What about focusing on things that can help mood that will also be likely to have benefits for physical health? Like small goals of increasing exercise in very small increments, which helps mood, or very small changes toward healthier eating.
Most of my weight gain has occurred after dieting, and I have felt that I used to set myself up for unrealistic expectations for weight loss, so that is why I'm wary of you taking that 50 lb loss on, esp. before you get your mood stabilized.
Think smaller, Krissy. Little, tiny goals. One day at a time.
