We have lots of threads on this topic, you can search the archives when they are fixed. Personally I take morphine for depression, it works very well and my shrink knows I take it- but the prescription is from a pain dr. My shrink does prescribe low dose vicodin (10mg/day) for patients with treatment resistant anxiety/depression disorders, he's had a lot of success. So your post didn't surprise me at all, there are quite a few on this board who do find relief from opiates. take care, judy
