Too many words in therapy?

Posted by Miller on November 20, 2002, at 9:55:22

My problem is that I have so much going on in my life, I don't know how to indroduce it in my sessions. For instance, we are working on my anger issues right now. So, I feel like I shouldn't bring up the fact that I haven't cried in years, I am thinking about leaving my husband, I think I may have an affair, and there are definately more issues. Each session is an hour long. I feel like we don't have enough time to finish the subjects we start as it is. A friend has told me that I need to let my shrink know about some of these issues. I don't know how to "dive in" like that. Any suggestions?
