Hi all,
I've been on wellbutrin&reboxetine here in the UK for about 9 months now and it's a combination [along with a therapy called REBT which I can't recommend highly enough] that's helping me out of a torrid 7 year depression. Most of the earlier side-effects of the wellbutrin have dissipated: light-sensitivity, 24/7 nausea, waking up at 5a.m. with heart pounding, profuse sweating and so on. One problematic side-effect remains in that it gives me _really_ bad constipation - lovely :0)
To combat this I've taken to eating loads of fibre [linseed [a.k.a. flaxseed], all-bran, prunes, fresh fruit, ....] to no real benefit. I've tried fybogel, sennakot and movicol [which is a hardcore lax] to not much benefit too.
Whilst chronic const. is 0.000001% as distressing as depression, it makes you feel pretty miserable, that's for sure.
-> does anyone have any further suggestions?
-> do others on rebox/wellbutrin experience this problem?
-> just out of interest, is there anyone else out there on this combination of meds? perhaps I'm the world's first reboxetine&wellbutrin guineapig :0) ???Anyway, thanks already,
pete
