When will the depression end?

Posted by Nikita on October 11, 2002, at 10:00:59

Does anyone else feel like they can't remember NOT being depressed? I was depressed for more than a year before realizing that was why I wasn't eating, sleeping, etc. Since then I've tried numerous medications, just started a new one this week, Serzone, but none have seemed to do the trick so far. My parents are very supportive, although they don't really understand depression and how long it takes to see if certain drugs work. I'm so tired of struggling to get up in the morning and to put on a chipper face for my daughter and co-workers. Does it usually take this long to feel better?
