Yeah, I would keep that topic alive. You have all the classic symptoms of it.

> In the same way, I will react badly to the Effexor-XR, Pristiq or Cymbalta... but they have no a1 -2 - adrenergic receptor antagonist effect... they just have the reuptake inhibitor effect on the NE and to a lesser extend to the SE...I just wanted to make a correction here. Those meds do not effect NE and to a lesser extent SE. It is the opposite. They are almost completely all SE with very little NE. Here are the ratios:
Effexor 30SE:1NE. That is, 1 part NE to 30 parts SE. Cymbalta is 9SE:1NE. Again, almost pure serotonin. Savella is 3NE:2SE. It is the only true SNRI. The others border on disingenious being called SNRIs.I hear all your complaints on Canada healthcare. In every single country that has nationalized health care it is the same way. If you have money you can get better care. But if you don't, the care you get is not very good. Nationalized health care sounds so good, yet fails so badly.

Siberian Ginseng should be one of your daily supplements, starting real low (10mg-25mg) shooting for a goal a year later in the 300mg range. It is generally very benign, but I am exquisitely familiar with your sensitivities, so tiny doses are a must in the beginning.

I have an appointment with him the 6 april...Ask for "freeT3, freeT4, totalT4, and all of the thyroid antibodies". Also ask for a cortisol test early in the morning, another one at noon, and another in the evening.

I continue at 2,5mg for a whole week... at the end of the week I was completly exhausted and I give up. MAybe the 2,5mg was too high for me and that's why a 1 mg dose, or a 1/2 mg dose will be more appropriate to initial the treatment with me???Definitely too high. Should maybe have been 1/2mg or 1mg, not 2.5mg. Even for me, sensitive but not as sensitive as you, 2.5mg is a huge dose. I could never do that.

> That's suggest to me that the Celexa and the Lexapro are the only 2 pure SSRI's...and don't toutch the NE...You are doing some really good research on cortisol and adrenal fatigue. Awesome.
>
> I'm wondering why I had bad reaction with the Lexapro, it's suppose to affect only the SE???There's no way to know. What we know about any of these med is probably only about 10% of what there is that we don't know.

>Did I really have a problem with my adrenal system???
Without testing I couldn't say, but it sure looks like classic hypoadrenalism.

> Also, why the Milnacipran will be better than the Cymbalta? I mean, they act the same way in the brains... The Cymbalta have maybe a more high potent level for binding the SE sites, but it's strong also for the NE...Wrong. Cymbalta is not strong on NE, as I explained in the ratios earlier. Milnacipran is in a class all its own.

> High protein diet are also good, maybe not because of the L-Trypothan who increase the serotonin level... Anyway... each time I do that kind of diet, with only vegetables, potassium intake, magnesium intake, fiber and protein shake, I have more energy and my mood is more good... anxiety can be worse at the begining, but that tend to dissepear after a while... I should consider to return on that diet soon... since I have 30 pounds to loose... The only problem is the energy level for exercises... the fact that it's a low calories diet, make it really hard to do physical exercises...Food choices are extremely important. At this time in your life, there is probably no other factor that can make as big a difference as that. You've already felt it, so I don't need to preach about it.

> At the gym, it's impossible to work out, I become tired after 10 minutes also...That again looks like hypoadrenalism. Which usually also takes the thyroid down with it. They work as a team. If true, no wonder you feel so bad!

Keep in mind, this is true story, my doctor has patients doing fine on 1 drop of lexapro. Do you know how much one drop of liquid lexapro is? It is 1/10th of 1mg. Other patients are doing well on 1mg. I tell you this just to put it in perspective and let you know that you are not the only one, and that tiny doses can be effective.
