In reply to a 10 min film from the world at war stalingrad, posted by manic666 on August 7, 2009, at 7:22:21
Unfortunately my speakers are not hooked up. This would be the Stalingrad film by the makers of Das Boot perhaps?
If it is I remember the section where the young man sees the mistreatment of Jews and tries to do something about it and the commanding officer just laughs and says 'Tell it to the Fuhrer'.
We didn't always have a Saving-Private-Ryan view of WWII. There is a Stalingrad station in Paris. The whole world, in 45, felt indebted to the mainly Russian people for their enormous sacrifice.
