Zorastrianism isn't a heresy, it's a religion. It is by some accounts the oldest monotheistic religion in the world. One of its central tenets is the cosmic struggle between good and evil. Perhaps that's what you're thinking of? I did a college paper on it, and briefly flirted with converting.
However, the idea of the cosmic struggle between good and evil is hardly limited to Zoroastrianism, and I don't believe Ray's beliefs on the nature of good and evil would be considered heresy in the Mormon faith.
Any further discussion of the duality of good and evil as it relates to faith should probably take place on the Faith board.
