But, it has been my experience that it is the flooding of my body with insulin that gives me energy, without that, I might as well take a placebo. I tried an OTC diet medication that blocked carbs, and it made me so very tired after the meal, since I did not get any sort of insulin spike. I presume I would get the same reaction from Metformin.
