I had a lot of tests done when it first happened, and it was really bad. The tests definitely showed damage, probably from a virus I'd had right before, to my right? inner ear. They told me at the time that my brain would retrain itself within a few months, and it has for the most part.
But even at its worst it only bothered me when I shifted. Having it happen while I'm sitting still is a bit disconcerting, especially since in general I'm so much better.
I'm reasonably sure it's related to the prior problem. So I guess I'll wait till I see my ENT again for some other reason and mention it to him.
I did suddenly realize I've been hitting the caffeine pretty hard. He told me that caffeine made it worse, and told me to taking so much. So that is probably the reason it's taken this new little turn. I'm pretty sure I'd be worthless without caffeine though. I'd rather be a bit disoriented at times.
