> Since nearly all the articles I can find on fish oil and Omega 3's say it's supposed to HELP acne and then me ( and other's) here actually have the Omega 3's CAUSE acne, I have really been seeking answer's.

> It's really annoying because I do "feel" better on fish oil but I get horrific acne on it- so I'm trying to decide if I'd rather feel better and look like i'm going through puberty again OR feel crappy and have nice skin. LOL

> decisions... decisions.. lolI have struggled with the same problem, and ended up losing my hair (I look good bald anyways :D) and having body acne/ oily skin extremely oily scalp due to the fish oil.
That's how much I love how it makes me feel! (happy)
Recently however, I started getting palpitations.. anxious thoughts, and whenever I'd try to go to sleep at night, I would have to shake my arms or my feet or something to calm myself down.
I've searched far and wide for an answer, and the best I can come up with deals with the thyroid... Hyperthyroidism (or fish oil induced hyperthyroidism).
I discovered that spinach and dairy products gave me acne usually when I ate them, so after researching this, I realized I probably have a highly active thyroid. Been thin all my life, Usually nervous, palpitations off and on for years.
So after I realized the fish oil was increasing my acne and oily skin.. palpitations.. and anxiety, I made the unproven connection that my thyroid works too much! :) This is confusing because my thyroid levels a year ago came back 'normal' but I can't recall the exact levels. I'd like to have them checked again.
I researched from www.ithyroid.com (testimony of a man who cured his hyperthyroidism) that copper is the breaks for thyroids, and zinc is the accelerator. If this holds true, I've been taking zinc off and on my whole life, and depleting copper even more through smoking and high vitamin C consumption.
ALSO Chocolate and bananas always break me out.. http://www.ithyroid.com/tyramines.htm
I'm going to try supplementing copper and a B-complex for a while.. probably 4 mg (200% DV) In order to see how my body responds. I'll also try and get some trace minerals to add to my water. Will keep you posted! :)
