I am currently taking lamictal (200mg) and abilify (15mg).<dx'ed bipolar II> I am taking the abilify to help with my rapid thoughts, some paranoia, and delusions. I also take ativan for anxiety. I have noticed a great difference since on the abilify and haven't notice any weight gain or have any other side affects. You have to be careful when adding an antipsychotic to your meds and be very watchful for any side effects. If your husband suffers from any type of psychosis <even if mild> i would suggest him trying it.
Good Luck
