In reply to Has anyone had ulnar decompression surgery?, posted by saturn on May 13, 2006, at 13:53:50
I had an ulnar transposition 3 years ago, so can tell you about that.
I was back to typing light that evening (though on alot of pain meds)..
Pain was certainly very increased the following day, but mild pain killers dealt with it. I resumed normal duties the following day with regards computer work, but this wasn't over heavy. I had a single running stitch with a bead on the end, which was removed after 2 weeks. Once the scabbing was coming off I used a vitimin e oil (in a wheatgerm base) to help the skin heal - and my healing was praised by my surgeon!! *g*
Good luck, and I hope it helps
