Hi,
I haven't had either of these surgeries myself, but I've had some experience in what the recovery is like. I definitely understand the time and money issue with having them done together, but I would strongly encourage you not to do this. If you had both wrists done at the same time, you will not have a hand available for bearing weight for a week or so. This could be risky given that if we lose our balance and feel as if we're falling, it's a reflex to reach out to steady yourself. If you caught yourself on the hand while it's just beginning to heal, you could do some damage. Also, I think you'd be dependent on someone to do very basic tasks for you (like feed you maybe or bathing/grooming, etc), because both arms would be bulkily wrapped for at least a day or two.If you need to do any post-op rehab or home exercises/stretches, these often require the use of the other hand to stretch or stabilize.
I had all of my wisdom teeth removed in one feel swoop when I was a teen. I didn't want to go through the ordeal twice, so having them all done made sense. I would never do that again if I had to do it over. I couldn't eat because of the pain on both sides.
However you have this done, I wish you a successful outcome and speedy recovery.
