In reply to decaf green tea?, posted by joslynn on March 5, 2006, at 22:22:12

hi joslynn,
I think if it's decaf'd naturally (without carcinogenic chemicals) it could be OK. I know they can do that with coffee, although it costs $arm.leg to get the naturally decaf'd coffee.

The only concern is that when they take out the caffeine, would other nutrients/components go too as part of the process?

I was looking at some tea websites myself recently and some teas are listed as being "low" in caffeine, or "lower" in caffeine. If you can't find decaf, do you think you might want to try a low-caff one?

If I find any useful info, I'll post it. I'm also getting really into teas lately so I've been looking up a lot of stuff on the web.
