Because the medication/injection that they give to get the marrow to come out causes the pain, not the marrow extraction itself.>

It has to do with the nerve fibers that are surounding the bones and the messages they send to the brain. If a bone is broken the nerves around it tell us to feel pain, but I still don't understand why my bones hurt when I am sick : )
