yes, you could test your own blood for glucose levels by doing a quick finger prick, but that would be expensive. You'd need to buy a glucose meter and test strips; the total would be a minimum of $50 and maybe $100 to get started.If you have a friend/fam member nearby, maybe they could help you test your blood using their meter? I know my sisters and I all tried out my dad's glucose meter to test our levels before and after breakfast (we were all normal.)
It would probably be better to go to the doctor and get tested, though. At a minimum, you should call and ask for advice about your other symptoms. They should troubling enough -- esp. the chest pain and dizziness -- that you should get an answer promptly. Don't worry about the doctor's reaction - it's your body and you deserve answers! ;)
