Most genetic disorders are a function of multiple genes, rather than just one. In part, that's because there are usually redundancies in the genome, which protect from an awful lot of the genetic disorders -- which is why so many are recessive genes, rather than dominant.

My guess is that the sex-linked disorders in non-sex chromosomes are potentials that are only activated when they occur in conjunction with something else on a sex chromosome.

Just a guess, though. Let us know when you find out the answer?
