Ice cubes and teeth

Posted by Sarah T. on July 20, 2005, at 20:12:27

Hi. I wonder whether sucking on ice cubes can damage teeth? I'm pretty sure that chewing on ice would damage teeth. What about just sucking on the ice? It's horribly hot and humid here, and if I continue drinking fluids at the rate I've been consuming them, I'm going to float away, so I thought I could suck on ice cubes. That might keep me cool without consuming as much fluid. Any ideas?
