Hello!
At recommended doses, acetaminophen is one of the safest drugs in existence! Provided that you don't have risk factors for acetaminophen-induced liver damage (see below), up to 4g/24 hours is perfectly acceptable. Never take more than 1g at once. Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Usual dose 0.5-1g every 4 to 6 hours. Max. 4g/day.

Severe malnutrition/anorexia, high alcohol intake, treatment with enzyme-inducing drugs such as Tegretol, Dilantin, rifampin, HIV/AIDS infection.
