I was confused, too. In my presentation, I glossed over that one and prayed no one asked questions! ;)
Hynologic hallucinations seem to be when you wake up, are still paralyzed from sleep, and you see or sense something. So I think the difference is the paralysis and the timing. Hypnogogic seems to be when falling asleep, hypnologic seems to be upon wakening. But I could be wrong. It was not clear to me from what I could find on the internet, and my neuro book is at work.
