I think you can purchase pantyhose with cotton crotches. I switched to thigh-highs (bad idea) and then "proper" stockings with garters, which definitely helped. Had to careful with hemlines, though. One reach for the top shelf and EVERYONE knows you're wearing stockings!
I did sigh with relief when I moved to a climate where hose is too warm to wear and going bare-legged is considered appropriate for most businesses.
Otherwise, think cotton. It's breathable and allows perspiration to evaporate where nylon traps all the moist warmth.
