When you taper it gets worse and if you come off fast or cold turkey you may find yourself yelling in agony. It is phantom nerve pain due to GABA dysfunction, errant neurological signals doe to lack of benzos or insufficient amounts. But I am not going up to mega doses like I said. Such burning pain is also a documented anxiety symptom. In any case I am not going up to mega doses, cannot get them for one thing. Many unlucky people that come off benzos end up literally frying. For me right now, at 40 mgs of valium, it is just a real annoyance.
