One more thing, did you have to speak to the anesthetist? Im just a bit concerned about medication interactions as I dont know if I have to stop any of my meds before the surgery. Thanks.
> Are you sure you need to be under general anesthesia? I had my wisdom teeth removed at the dentists...they were impacted. I wanted to be put to sleep via IV sedation, but my mom didn't allow it. I was given Ativan and nitrous oxide, but the Ativan wasn't enough to stop me from my panic attack. The nitrous oxide made me hyperventilate and panic more. I ended up not using the nitrous oxide. I turned the volume on my CD player WAY up and listened to Nirvana and just dissociated to deal with it...it was very scary, there was no pain, but I could feel the pressure of the scalpel on my gums and pressure from the fracturing of the tooth and subsequent extraction. On the bright side, there was no pain and it was relatively cheap. I didn't have insurance. If one can get over the fear...there shouldn't be any problems, no pain whatsoever.
