Hi Spriggy,
I just wanted to provide you with a website (similar to the hypoglycemia site) with comprehensive information on diabetes. Interestingly, I read that diabetes is often detected when a person suffers problems caused by diabetes including, among other things, fungal infections.

I also wanted to suggest a book to you that I have found very interesting and informative entitled "The Diet Cure" by Julia Ross. It is a book that provides an 8-step program to rebalance body chemistry and end food cravings, weight problems and mood swings. It talks about thyroid problems, blood sugar problems, blood sugar problems, food allergies, and others. I think you may find the book interesting and informative. There is even a clinic, called Recovery Systems Clinic, where all kinds of testing is done and people are treated for whatever problems are identified through the testing (I can't say for sure, but I believe it may be a combination of blood tests and saliva tests). Anyway, the clinic is in California, and information about the clinic can be obtained at (415) 458-8446. If I lived in California or close to California, I would be trying to make an appointment for myself. Unfortunately, it would cost me a thousand dollars or more just to get there.
The other interesting thing I read in the book (I had forgotten this, and just came across it again when I was looking through the book yesterday), that a national physicians' directory is available through the Broda O. Barnes Research Foundation. Broda Barnes was an M.D. who spent his entire career studying and treating the thyroid. The foundation strongly promotes a thorough evaluation of both thyroid and adrenal function. I am in the process of trying to get a copy of the directory. When I get a copy, I will share it with you.
Anyway, sorry this message got so long. You take care and keep hanging in there.
All the best to you,
Tamara
