> Is neck pain accompanied by a headache (above the where the neck is sore, on the right side in this case) indicative of something more serious? I have a had a neck pain -- like a strained neck -- for a few days now, along with a slight headache from the back to the front of the head on the side of the neck that hurts. It seems to be very mild, and probably related to the neck (when my neck hurts, I feel the headache). Is this simply a result of the neck pain? Today I am also feeling a bit under the weather. I don't think I have a fever, but I am feeling sleepy. If the pain returns, put a hot pack on it. Here's an easy hot pack. Get a large ziplock bag, and fold a medium or large towel so that it fits the bag. Soak the towel, not dripping, but good and wet.
Microwave the bag and towel for a couple of minutes. Ovens vary, so I can't say exactly, but it will get good and warmed up. Zip up the ziplock, and wrap that package in another towel so the that towel is lengthwise around the package (two ends, with a bulge in the middle). That lets you wrap the hot pack on any part of the body.
If you get the amount of heat right (hot but not skin damaging hot), and the towel thickness right (you don't want the hotpack to touch the skin directly), you can get a good 30 minutes of deep moist heat. It works amazingly well to soothe sore muscles.
Either that, or a good massage would help.
> A couple weeks ago I did some cocaine. Do you think I might have an aneurysm now? Could this be tetanus from where I scraped off some skin from my finger last week?
No, and no.
>(At first it was just skin-colored, as if you'd peeled off a blister. Then it was light red, now darker read, and seems to be healing. Is this normal?
Normal.> How long do these things take to heal?)
Until they're healed.
> Or perhaps this is much ado about nothing? I'm freaking out I have syphilis, tetanus, meningitis, or something worse! Ugh!
