Well, what worked for me in the short term was hiring a personal trainer. My plan was to use the trainer to get the pump primed, so to speak, and then continue under my own steam. Continuing with the trainer beyond 3 months was not in the budget. Unfortunately, I didn't follow through for several reasons. So much for the second part of the plan. But I think the underlying concept is good. It helps having someone to report to or be committed to exercising with. My mom has since offered to pay for 3 months with a personal trainer again. Well, she offered 5 months ago... you see how motivated I am!
