Info on serotonin in the body?

Posted by Racer on August 2, 2004, at 16:49:03

Can anyone point me in the direction of information about serotonin outside the brain? I know that it's involved in a number of different functions in the body, such as the gastrointestinal tract, but I don't really know where to start looking for information about how it behaves there, etc. If anyone knows of links to informational websites, that's great, otherwise any book recommendations?

(And, if you know of any links to more info on normal cortisol function, I'd love to see those, too.)

Thanks!
