I agee.
Handel's life is a fascinating study of one who overcane alot of adversity.
At one point in wrting the song he didnt leavehis house for 3 weeks! A friend reports he visited him and often found Handek in tears, sobbing from the sheer emotions he poured into his song~
The "Messiah" (or Hallelujah Chorus as its sometimes called) debut in 1742...yet remains today as one of the most moving and stirring music ever written.
