Why would the Roman Catholics accept the apocryphal texts into canon when both the Jews and Protesants thought them to not be authoritive? And why were they not considered authoritive?
BTW, how do you know all this stuff?

They can be useful and interesting, but they were not accepted by the Jews as authoritative. Protestants accept the same books that the Jews do in the Old Testament canon.
