If you pause and listen to time, it seems to go fast, but if you get an early start and work hard all day, it stretches it out. Maybe time is measured by what is measurable. Life is made up of outcomes, measures, and stragedies. Although the outcomes are where it's at, its only the measures that count, and of course without the stragedies, there would be nothing done to measure. Are you with me?
This week my desired outcome is to paint the coral. My stragedies are to:
1. Pressure wash and remove all the old paint
2. Cut out the tree branches that have overgrown the fence
3. mow all the tall grass and weeds in the pasture next to the fence posts
4. Be sure I have all the needed materials: paint, sprayer, right tip (.017), tarps to block the trees, coveralls, hat, gloves.
5. Let the fence dry after pressure washing before painting
6. Clean upMy measures will be:
1. What percentage of the fence is prepared and in clear view?
2. What percentage of the fence is painted; 1 coat, 2 coats
3. What percentage of cleanup and put away is completed?Hey, I'm just trying to figure this out.
Oh yes, I have "faith" that this can be accomplished in three days.
